2008\u5e74\u6210\u7acb\u8de8\u6027\u5225\u8cc7\u6e90\u4e2d\u5fc3\u4e26\u4efb\u4e3b\u5e2d\u81f3\u4eca\uff0c\u81f4\u529b\u65bc\u9999\u6e2f\u63a8\u52d5\u8de8\u6027\u5225\u904b\u52d5\uff0c\u4ee5\u6559\u80b2\u70ba\u57fa\u695a\u51fa\u767c\uff0c\u70ba\u793e\u6703\u4eba\u58eb\u53ca\u8de8\u6027\u5225\u793e\u7fa4\u63d0\u4f9b\u8cc7\u8a0a\u53ca\u8cc7\u6e90\uff0c\u5e6b\u52a9\u793e\u6703\u52a0\u6df1\u8a8d\u8b58\u8de8\u6027\u5225\u8b70\u984c\uff0c\u53ca\u8b93\u8de8\u6027\u5225\u4eba\u58eb\u5f97\u5230\u61c9\u6709\u4e4b\u5354\u52a9\u53ca\u6b0a\u76ca\u3002\u9664\u4e86LGBT\u6b0a\u76ca\u5916\uff0cJoanne\u66f4\u5e0c\u671b\u70ba\u9999\u6e2f\u7684\u5f31\u52e2\u51fa\u4e00\u5206\u529b\uff0c\u5728\u653f\u7b56\u5c64\u9762\u505a\u66f4\u591a\u7684\u63a8\u52d5\u30022015\u5e74\u52a0\u5165\u4e86\u9999\u6e2f\u6c11\u4e3b\u9ee8\uff0c\u66f4\u65bc2016\u5e74\u53c3\u8207\u7acb\u6cd5\u6703\u9ee8\u5167\u521d\u9078\u3002<\/div><\/div>
Joanne \u65bc2012\u5e74\u88ab\u9999\u6e2f\u7684Baccarat\u6642\u5c1a\u751f\u6d3b\u96dc\u8a8c\u9078\u70ba\u300c\u56db\u5341\u4e94\u4f4d\u56db\u5341\u4e94\u6b72\u4ee5\u4e0b\u4ee4\u9999\u6e2f\u5e36\u4f86\u6539\u8b8a\u7684\u4eba\u58eb\u300d\u30022014\u5e74\u7372HER Fund\u9812\u9996\u5c46\u300c\u5979\u3002\u6562\u65bc\u6539\u8b8a\u300d\u596c\u9805\uff0c\u540c\u5e74\u65bc\u65e5\u5167\u74e6\u5411\u806f\u5408\u570b\u53cd\u6620\u9999\u6e2f\u8de8\u6027\u5225\u6b67\u8996\u72c0\u6cc1\uff0c\u70ba\u9996\u4f4d\u83ef\u4eba\u4ee5\u8de8\u6027\u5225\u8eab\u4efd\u767c\u8a00\u30022017\u5e74\u88ab\u7f8e\u570b\u9818\u4e8b\u9928\uff08\u9999\u6e2f\u53ca\u6fb3\u9580\uff09\u63d0\u540d\u570b\u969b\u52c7\u6562\u5973\u6027\u734e\uff0c\u65bc\u4e09\u6708\u88ab\u9080\u5230\u83ef\u76db\u9813\u51fa\u5e2d\u8208\u795d\u6d3b\u52d5\u3002<\/div><\/div>\n
Joanne was born as a boy in Hong Kong and completed her Sex Reassignment Surgery in 2009 after struggling for over 40 years. Yet she still insists to claim herself as a Transgender Lesbian even after she has acquired her legal sex as a female. She is now a public figure in the LGBT movement devoted to the supporting works in the community as well as advocacy for LGBT rights in Hong Kong and Mainland China.<\/div><\/div>
She founded Transgender Resource Center (TGR) in 2008 and have been the chairperson since then. The aim of the organization is promoting public understanding and acceptance regarding the transgender community, and to provide resources and support for transgender people.<\/div><\/div>
In 2012, Joanne has been selected one of the “45 People aged 45 or below making a difference in Hong Kong” by Baccarat Magazine and in 2013 she has also been granted the \u201cShe dare to change\u201d Award by HER Fund. In 2016, Joanne has taken a big step forward in the LGBT movement by joining the Democratic Party as the first transgender politician in Hong Kong and participated in the Legislative Council pre-election trying to push for change not only for LGBT people.<\/div><\/div>
